Brief History
History
St Thaddeus Science Academy, Madakiya started in 2008 as an idea of Air Commodore Emmanuel K. Jekada (rtd) Fss, Dss, Psc, mni, Ph.D who holds education so dearly in his heart and therefore thought of leaving a legacy by starting a Christain Co - Education boarding science school to serve for two purposes:
a. To immortalize his late father, Thaddeus Jekada Kpangang who served his community, Madakiya as the village chief (Sarkin Madakiya) from 1945 - 1995.
b. To contribute his quota in promoting education in his community, state and the country at large.
This idea was further motivated by the continued falling standard of education, moral and spiritual spheres in many public schools in the state and in the country. The desire therefore was to set up an alternative to those falling standards particularly for children of the community and those of the state and country in general. It was to commence at primary school level first, but the clamour for a standard post primary school around his community encouraged him to incorporate a secondary school section to this ideology.
Rev. Fr. C.M Magaji, the then parish priest of St. Paul Madakiya, Mr Paul Fure and J.D. Bayei (KSJ) approached the proprietor with the request to establish a primary school for the Parishioners not knowing that the idea was burning in him, which he accepted.
The school was therefore established on 15th of September 2008 and was given the name St. Thaddeus Science Academy in memory of his late father, Thaddeus as desired and was consecrated on the 20th September 2008 by his Lordship, Most Rev. Dr Danlami Joseph Bagobiri (MFR), Catholic Bishop of Kafanchan Diocese. The first set of students commenced on the same 20th of September, 2008 and where accommodated in the school where almost half of the structures and furnitures were already put in place.

A modern administrative block, adequately furnished classrooms, excellent hostel facilities, educational book stocked library for students/teachers, recreational facilities/mini school medium stadium, 3 generating plants of 60KVA, 20KVA and 10KVA for electricity for electricity, solar installations to augment PHCN and four borholes for water supply among others.
